Authors are invited to submit papers for publication using “ONLINE SUBMISSION” section in our website or through email editor@sed.org.bd. Submissions are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work has been neither submitted to, nor published in, another publication. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are accepted on the basis of following criteria.
- All manuscripts must be in English and in MS Word format.
- They have not been published in whole or in part in any other journal.
- The e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of all authors must be provided.
- Illustrations (figures) of manuscripts should be in computer format.
- Authors must state in a covering letter when submitting papers for publication the novelty embodied in their work or in the approach taken in their research.
- Manuscripts submitted under multiple authors are reviewed on the assumption that all listed authors concur with the submission and that a copy of the final manuscript has been approved by all authors.
- The manuscripts must be single-spaced typed, written in fair grammatical English. Latin plurals should not be used if the English equivalent has become the accepted form, e.g., formulas not formulae. Use of hyphens, capital letters and numbers written or spelled out (e.g., 8 or eight) should be consistent throughout the manuscript.
The review output will be one of the following decisions:
- Under Review
- Accepted
- Rejected
Format & Style
Text of manuscript should be arranged in the following order: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Body Text, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements and References.
Title Page:
The title page should include:
- Research Title (Upper Case, Times New Roman, 12 Size, Bold)
- The name(s) of the author(s) (Sentence Case, Times New Roman, 11 Size, Bold, Double Star (**) for main author and Single Star (*) for corresponding author(s)
- The affiliation(s) and address(es) of the author(s) (Normal, Italic, Size – 11)
- The e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author (Normal, Italic, Size – 11)
Abstract: It should be of not more than 150 words for brief reports and 250 words for original articles and other article types.
Keywords: 3 to 8
Background: Background should state the reasons and purpose the research work.
Body Text: Research procedures, methods, observations and data are to be elaborated in this section. Heading and subheading and references wherever needed, are to be used.
Result and discussion: It is preferred to discuss all the results in detail in case of original research paper. To explain the facts and observed data, figures, graphs and tables are to be used.
Conclusion: A conclusion might elaborate on the importance of the work or suggest applications and extensions.
References: APA Style.
The entire document should be in Times New Roman; Size – Text 11, Heading 12 (Bold). For page style author should use the sample paper (template), attached with this guideline.
